Alfa Romeo will be sold by Fiat dealerships in the U.S where about 200 Fiat franchises are attached to the Chrysler Group.

Dealerships in metro markets have been told they will be offered the Alfa as part of a Fiat plan to reintroduce the cars back into the US in late 2012.

CEO of the Chrysler Group, Sergio Marchionne, said in a statement recently that dealerships that sell the Fiat 500 mini-car, the only Fiat model to be sold in the country, will soon have the option of also selling the Alfa.

The mid-sized Alfa Romeo Giulia sedan and wagon are expected to return to North America in late 2012.
