Manchester Airport is now ready to receive passengers from the Emirates Airbus A380.

The UK airport has been certified ready for the massive Airbus, which will make it one of only 17 global airports to have services operating.

Manchester has invested over 10 million pounds on upgrading its airfield and travel facilities for the standards required for the Emirates A380.

A new aircraft stand has been built for the first jet, which will arrive next month.
