Steamy scenes edited out of Paris Hilton's beer ad

    (IANS)

The controversial beer advertisement featuring socialite Paris Hilton is back on Brazilian TV after the producers edited her steamy scenes.

The promo showing Hilton in suggestive poses created uproar when it was aired in the country last month, with critics claiming that shots of her dressed in a black robe and rubbing a can of Devassa beer on herself showed a 'lack of respect' for women.

However, now the producers have removed the controversial scenes and edited the ad to only show Hilton's face for several seconds, reports contactmusic.com.

'There is a good dose of humour (in the new advert). But I'm also sure there was nothing wrong with the previous one,' said the head of the advertising agency responsible for the campaign Augusto Cruz.
