John Mayer makes 11-year-old fan's dream come true

    (IANS)

Musician John Mayer made an 11-year-old fan's dream come true when he called the child on stage and played the guitar with him.

Mayer was performing at a concert in Philadelphia in the US when he spotted the youngster named Austin in the crowd clutching a sign reading: 'Can I please play 'Belief' with you?'

He pulled him out of the audience and performed the song with him to a rapturous round of applause, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

Mayer told the crowd at the end, 'That's my man!', before giving Austin one of his guitars.

Austin's mother wrote a note to Mayer's management team, which read: 'John made an 11-year-old's dream come true. John gave him the guitar after the show and we needed security to get out of the stadium.'

'Everyone wanted a picture with him. If you get a chance watch some of the videos on You Tube, it is touching. As Mayer said, 'The kid pulled through'.'

'I just wanted to thank JM for pulling through for Austin,' she added.
