    Lindsay Lohan selling off possessions

    (IANS)

Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan is selling off her possessions for charity to help her move forward emotionally.

The 'Mean Girls' actress is gutting her home and will sell off the unwanted items to raise funds for good causes, femalefirst.co.uk reports.

'Lindsay's growing up and she's been through a lot. She's trying to move forward. We're donating a lot of it to charity. Some of it will go on our website lohanhouse.com,' said Lindsay's mother.

Lindsay - who has an on/off relationship with Samantha Ronson - can't wait to get rid of many of the items and start afresh.

'There are a lot of people that are there for the wrong reasons. I started to realise a lot more was being taken from me than was given,' said the 23-year-old actress.

'It became more draining than anything else. In this industry, people build you up to knock you down. If everything is in its place then I will be able to breathe.

'The biggest problem is that I have a lot of stuff. I finally have most of it in one place,' she said.
